The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days. The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part). Why 1001 Days?: Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

#18: My writing in 2008.

So this year I published 35 articles. My goal was to publish 5-10 articles a month, which looks like I was able to meet! Sadly, none of them were paid articles, but that's still pretty awesome. Looks like I'll have to work more in 2009 to get the paid article part of my list taken care of.

I am going to try and update this more this weekend so what I have really accomplished since the start of my list. I hope it will encourage my sister to update her list as well, after all, this was all her idea!

More updates to come...

#18: Always have, and forever will be, a riot grrrl!

Another writing update, this one is for betterPropaganda and is a Kill Rock Stars label spotlight. Put in a little anecdote about my father and record shopping. Enjoy.

Also--have a longer update w/ photos planned, but in my recent trip to Seattle I visited the Experience Music Project which had a nice exhibit section on Kill Rock Star.

#18: Shugo Tokumaru is a mad scientist who creates beautiful music!

Another review done for this month. This one is written about Japanese artist Shugo Tokumaru, for his album, Exit. The review can be found on the Evolution of Media website, or linkage here! I should have a couple more writing tidbits in the next day or two, I've just been so busy haven't had as much time as I would like to write. Still meeting my monthly quota though! Check out the video below for more Tokumaru goodness.

Shugo Tokumaru- "Parachute" [my favorite song from the album].

#18: Polyvinyl records lights up my life! Label spotlight feature.

So my record label spotlight on Illinois-based record label, Polyvinyl, is now up on betterPropaganda.com. YAY! Opening a Polyvinyl package while MD-ing at KSCU always brought a smile to my face. Anyway, enjoy the article here! You can also stream the 33-song playlist of bP's Polyvinyl catalog while you read! And if you like them, all the songs featured on bP are downloadable! Take that! Enjoy.

More writing posts to follow soon (hopefully!).
